digestive system most definitely irritated and the reason that the following items are stocked in our refrigerator at all times.

  • prune juice
  • activia yogurt
  • apples

still forgetful and confusing my dog's name with my child's name on a regular basis. sleeping a little better despite at least two to three trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night. less stress and worry. first appointment with nurse julie. love her! extreme mood swings. seriously, i'm not a very nice person to be around this week and if you feel so inclined to express in spoken words that you agree i cannot be accountable for my actions. i'm growing a child and taking medication to do so. be warned.

food aversions:

  • tomatoes
  • chocolate
  • ice-cream

baby's size:  gummy bear

week one, two and three:

holiday drinking. duuuuuuuuuude! the drinking. but i didn't know i was pregnant so i get a guilt-free pass, don't you think? oh and I took up running and ran ten miles during week three.

week four:

on our way back from costco and before hosting dinner with good friends, i was doing some math in my head and realized, i was late. like late, late. so we picked up a test. aaaaaaaand...

{{insert extreme shock and excitement here}}

week five:

because of what happened here and here, i did a lot of freaking out, worrying, panicking, worrying, and stressing out. i mean a lot, especially during the hours of 3am to 5am. this week i was a walking pincushion going in for blood tests every 48 hours to check my hormone levels. and guess what? they were great. but i wasn't. so dr. p. ordered an ultrasound to help ease my mind. and guess what? also great. so by the end of week five I was feeling a little less panicky.

week six:

hitting the "oh my gosh i'm so tired by 4pm and remind me again, who are you? what's my name? and forgetting step 1: make sure foot is inside car before step 2: shutting the door" wall of exhaustion and forgetfulness. i experienced brief waves of morning sickness. had a slight scare with spotting so back to the hospital for more blood tests and an ultrasound. my progesterone levels were a little on the low side so a prescription of prometrium (or as adam and i like to call it: baby glue) was given for safe measure until 11 weeks. and the results of the ultrasound...

131 healthy strong heartbeats.
Measuring 6 weeks and 4 days.
due september 16.

week seven:

more forgetfulness, like.....wait, what was I saying? yeah that. extreme exhaustion, in pjs and on couch by 3pm. every. single. day. frequent trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night. -4 pounds, no doubt from all the water I'm drinking. Adam cooks, cleans and caters to my every need. scary-moody-sensitive to smells, like popcorn and curry. high gagness alert.
